Starbuck
Robert L. “Bobby” Starbuck, Jr., 68, of Brenham, TX died peacefully at his home August 21,2008,
after a 20 month battle with cancer.
Born August 23, 1939, in Houston the son of Bob and Mildred (Murphy) Starbuck. Bobby grew up
in Pasadena and was a 1957 graduate of Pasadena High School.
He joined the Houston Police Department in 1966 and retired after a 21 year career in 1987. He was
a master mason and a member of Lodge 1155 in Pasadena, TX.
After retirement, Bobby and his wife, Jennifer, moved to Kenney, TX and became the proprietors of
the Kenney Store for 4 years. Afterwards he worked at the Brenham State School for 4 years.
After his final retirement, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his friends, spoiling his pets
and buying scratch-offs.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nelda Axley. He is survived by his wife
of 27 years, Jennifer (Jenks) Starbuck, his daughter Kay Atkins and her husband, John, and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
