Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Stockman, 72, of Pattison, were held  Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Pitre officiating. Interment was in the Pattison Cemetery. 

Mrs. Stockman passed away on Sept. 29, 2008 at her home in Pattison,. 

Dorothy Marie Heitman was born to parents John A. and Eva L. Rickman Heitman in Portageville, Mo. Dorothy was raised in Kansas City, Mo. and attended school there.

She married Murrill E. Stockman on June 19, 1954 in  Kansas City, Mo. and worked as an accountant for S&S Construction company. 

Dorothy was a loving mother, wife and friend to all. She dedicated her life to her husband and children. She enjoyed camping, traveling, bingo and card games. 

She loved to plan and help others. Family holidays always were her favorite time to enjoy family and friends. We will miss her. 

Survivors include her husband, Murrill E. Stockman of Pattison, children, Murele Gene Stockman of Pattison, Sandra Marie Landry of Houston, Mark Wayne Stockman of Simonton, Julie Ann Nollkamper of Liberty, Kenneth Ray Stockman of Sealy, brothers and sisters, William Heitman of Independence, Mo., John Heitman of Garden City, Mo., Charles Heitman of Overland Park, Kan.,  Richard Heitman of Kansas City, Mo. and Margaret Phiffer of Leawood, Kan. and Judy Heitman of Kansas City Mo. 

She was preceded in death by parents, John and Eva Heitman, brothers, Fred and Donald Heitman. 

Funeral services held under the direction of Knesek Brothers Funeral Chapel in Sealy.
