Otis Allen Ueckert, 85, of Bellville passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 in Houston.
Otis was born to Edwin and Antonia “Toni” (Zajicek) Ueckert on Jan. 22, 1923, in Bellville, Texas.
Otis was baptized March 11, 1923 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was raised and attended school in Bellville, graduating from Bellville High School.
He attended Mays School of Business in Houston. He graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in accounting.  He was employed by Wilson Industries in Houston before retiring to his ranch in Bellville. Otis served in the Army during WWII; was a member of the Bellville United Methodist Church; a 50 year Master Mason of Holland Lodge No. 1, Houston, Texas; American Legion Post #0115 and VFW Post #6522 of Bellville.
He is survived by his sons; Dean Ueckert and wife, Melanie, Mark Ueckert and wife, Shirley of Bellville; four grandsons, Sam Ueckert and wife, Trish of Austin, Lee Ueckert, Brian Ueckert and Jake Ueckert, all of Bellville; one great-grandson, Kian Ueckert of Austin, along with many close friends and relatives  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Antonia Ueckert, infant daughter Cynthia Ueckert, and brother Verdes Ueckert.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Family Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jennifer Jackson, officiating.
Masonic graveside services were conducted with burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leeland Rinn, Frank White, Melvin Flentge, Dwayne Brauner, Roger Seilheimer and Boyd Ueckert.
 In lieu of flowers memorials and donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 501, Bellville, Texas or charity of choice.
 Services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels in Bellville.
