Helga Loesch Warmke, 98, of Bleiblerville passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at Kruse Memorial
Lutheran Village.
Helga was born Sept. 16, 1910 to Theo Loesch and Sophie Ahrens Loesch in Bleiblerville and attended
Victoria school
On Nov. 13, 1910, she was baptized by the Rev. August Beteit and confirmed March 28, 1926 by Rev.
J. Appel both in Welcome Lutheran Church
On Nov. 18, 1931 she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Warmke in the same church by the
Rev. J. Appel and became a homemaker.
She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome, member of the Church Circle, Altar
Guild and Memorial Committee. Helga loved sewing, playing dominoes and cards.
Her parents Theo and Sophie Ahrens Loesch, husband Robert William “Bob” Warmke, son Ralph
Warmke and sister Helen Loesch Weiss preceded her in death.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews Marlyn Antkowiak and husband Mike, Evelyn Slade, Jerry L.
Warmke and wife Carolyn, Florence Drews and husband Willis, Henry Schmidt and wife Gloria, Beatrice Wilkins, Betty Bernshausen and Virginia Brandt; sister-in-law
Alberta Schultz and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was a very special aunt to her nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at Brenham Memorial
Chapel.
Funeral services are at 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of
Welcome with the Rev. David Klak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Cabin Warmke, Michael Ganske, Bradley Schmidt, Darrell Drews, Richard Peabody, Jon
Antkowiak, Scott Antkowiak, Will Antkowiak. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Balke, Joe Chovanec and Kent Bernshausen.
Memorials may be given to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Welcome, Bleiblerville Fire
