 Mr. Walker Harris entered eternal rest on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Medical Center in Houston.

He was a life long resident of San Felipe. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army where he served 4 years in the Vietnam War.

His life will be Celebrated Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at New Prairie View Baptist Church 4303 Sealy Road, San Felipe with Rev. Charles Tompkins, Pastor and Minister Ester Cooper, Eulogist. He will be laid to rest at San Felipe Community Cemetery in San Felipe.

Family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 from 5-9 p.m. at New Prairie View Baptist Church. Viewing will be Friday, Aug. 17 for 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Harris leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 28 years, Claudia Scyrus Harris, 2 daughters- Deronda and Tara, 7 grandchildren, 4 brothers- Howard (Dee), Johnny, Ray, and Maurice Harris; 4 sisters- Maedell Johnson, Joyce Woodard, Hattie Dixon, and Lillie Wilson; 4 sister-in-law Wilma Lewis, Freddie Ruth Tate, Ester Cooper, Myrtlene Tillman; 3 brother-in-laws Larry Syrus, Brady Brown, and Earsel Brown.
