CLARENCE M. HIMLY

 Clarence M. Himly, age 87 of Cat Spring, Texas passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 in Cat Spring.

He was born November 3, 1925 to Charlie H. and Louise Beckman Himly in the Peters Community. In 1946, he married Irene Hillboldt in Sealy, Texas.

Clarence is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and William Hegemeyer of Cat Spring; three granddaughters Lisa and Dwayne Bilski of Cat Spring, Shirley and Michael Biehunko of Cat Spring and Sherry and Ray Menke of Cat Spring; great-grandchildren Meagan Bilski, Morgan Menke, Shane Bilski, Makenzie Menke, Blake Biehunko and Brooke Biehunko; a sister Annie Ashorn of Sealy.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the owner and operator for twenty five years of the Cross Road Tavern. He loved to deer hunt. He was a charter member of the Millheim Harmony Hall, also of the Polka Lovers Klub of America, member of St. John Lutheran Church of Cat Spring, Austin County Game and Fish Organization, Cat Spring Volunteer Fire Department 100 Club. Clarence also loved to bar-b-que.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and wife Irene Hillboldt Himly.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Cat Spring, Texas. Interment was in Millheim Cemetery. Pallbearers were Terry Ashorn, Wayne Ashorn, Leroy Ashorn, Jr., Ray Menke, Michael Biehunko and Dwayne Bilski. Honorary Pallbearers: Shane Bilski, Blake Biehunko, Alan Hillboldt, Jr. and Wayne Campbell.
