 WAYNE HENRY HOLD

Bellville Times

Wayne Henry Hold was born March 21, 1954 in Brenham, Texas to Ervin and Viola Albrecht Hold and passed away on March 23, 2012.

Wayne was baptized on May 21, 1954 and confirmed on May 25, 1969 at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. He attended Bellville High School and graduated from Blinn College in 1974.  While attending Blinn College, he began working at Brenham Wholesale Grocery Company.  He began pulling orders there and eventually became a truck driver which led him to meeting the love of his life, Diana Gajewski while delivering groceries to her familys store in Pattison, Texas.  He eventually took the job of Assistant Transportation Supervisor at Brenham Wholesale completing a 22 year career.  In 1996, his dream of ranching full time came true when he began working for Mike and Pat Aldredge at Mill Creek Land and Cattle.  Wayne loved Mike and Pat dearly and would never refer to either of them as Boss, it was always Mr. Mike and Miss Pat.  He truly loved working for them and with them both.

He married Diana Gajewski on April 28, 1979 and thoroughly enjoyed 32 years of blessed marriage with her. He was blessed in 1981 with the birth of his son, Justin and again in 1983 with arrival of his daughter, Kimberly. Proud doesnt describe how he felt about his children, and love was shown every day in how he treated them and took care of them both.  Wayne loved everything in life.  He loved his wife, his children, cattle, hay, sunny days, old trucks and most importantly, he loved to work.  A day without work in Waynes mind wasnt a normal day.  He loved working with his Ford 4000 tractor and chasing neighbors cattle with his 1983 Chevrolet, Brownie. He enjoyed being a member of the Austin County Livestock Association, the Austin County Fair Steer and Heifer Committee, the Texas Farm Bureau and the Industry Knights of Columbus as well as the Beef and Forage Committee of Austin County.  Wayne never met a stranger and anyone who knew him knows that he loved to talk.  His famous words during a lengthy conversation were, To make a long story short.  Wayne was an amazing man, a man of honesty, loyalty and most importantly, he was a man of great integrity.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Viola Hold, aunt Elda and uncle Vernon Hahn.  Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diana, of Kenney, son Justin and fianc Eryn Green of Kenney, daughter, Kimberly and husband Chris Wade of Brenham, mother in law and father in law A.B. and Sedonia Gajewski of Kenney, brothers in law, Patrick Gajewski and wife Vanessa of Houston, Dwayne Gajewski and wife Mary of Brenham, nephews Logan and Andrew Gajewski of Houston and nieces Caitlin and Ashlyn Gajewski of Brenham, and more friends than could ever be mentioned, and his precious grandchild who will be arriving in a few months.
