Mrs. Dovie Mae Gentry Johnson, 104, Long time resident of Brookshire passed away peacefully at her home with family at her side.

Born Oct. 29, 1907, the 5th child of Wilson and Carrie Mae Gentry.

Mrs. Johnson confessed christ at an young age to where she joined The Church of the Living God Pillar of Truth, Sealy.

She was known throughout Brookshire, Pattison, San Felipe and Sealy.

Married to the late Teb Johnson for 77 years, together they were blessed with eight children to whom three daughters have survived, Hazel, Harrell, Elese Johnson and Harrie Johnson,

Her long life will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, 11 a.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Lee Jones pastor.

She shall rest at Will Clemmons Cemetery.
