Julius Charles (JC) Kloss, 75, husband of Glenda (Brock) Kloss, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at his home in Sealy.  

JC Kloss was born February 17, 1936 in Bellville to Richard and Elfrieda (Goebel) Kloss. He graduated Bellville High School in 1955 and then attended Victoria Junior College and Lamar College in Beaumont where he received scholarships to play football.  

JC married Glenda Brock on Sept. 3, 1960 in Nacogdoches,.  In 1961 he was called into active duty with the U.S. Navy during the Berlin Crisis being stationed in Key West, Fla.

After leaving the service, JC and Glenda made their home in Houston.  JC worked 11 years at Mustang Tractor and then he worked 28 years with Brown & Root and then retired to their home in Sealy, in 1998.

JC was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, working the land with his tractor and spending time with his family and friends; and he loved to tell stories and laugh.  

JC is survived his wife, Glenda of Cat Spring; sons and daughters-in-law Rick and Debbie Kloss of Houston, and Jeff and Jennifer Kloss of Cat Spring; daughter Tracy Carlson of Belton; grandchildren Kara and husband Steven Carpenter, Cory Carlson, Richard Kloss, Michelle Kloss, Spencer Kloss, and Emil Kloss; great-grandchildren: Seth Carpenter, Ryan Dahl and Tyler Dahl; step brother Herbert Schumann and wife Laura; brother-in-law Glyn Brock and wife Kathy,  sisters-in-law Johnnie Sue Brock, Sandra DeLa Pena and husband David, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  JC was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Frieda Kloss and stepmother Adelheid Kloss. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 480 Ross, Cat Spring with Pastor Kevin Haug officiating.  Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at Knesek Funeral Chapel, 842 East Main St., Bellville.  Interment will be in the Millheim Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Cory Carlson, Richard Kloss, Brian Schumann, Scott Schumann, David DeLaPena, JD Holt, David Kloss and Jonathan Kloss.

Honorary pallbearers will be Spencer Kloss, Emil Kloss, Herbert Schumann, Lloyd Bud Ray, Jack Clark, Frank Michalek, James Herring, Cap Hillboldt, Billy Schaffner,, Herbert CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny, Phil Wood, and John Gonzales.
