WENTON E. LITTLE
Long time Houston resident Wenton E. Little passed away January 26, 2012 at his home in
Bellville. He was born January 4, 1916 in Milam County to Sam E. Little and Clara Yoe Little. Preceding him to be with our Lord and Savior were his Parents, 2
brothers, Jarvis Little and Larry Little, and his first wife, Helen McKim Little. He is survived by his second wife, Johnnie Richie Little, who has been and
continues to be his most wonderful gift and blessing to our family. He is further survived by his son. J.M. Little and daughter-in-law Paula of Bellville; his
daughter, Elizabeth Little Griffin of Houston; grandchildren Melissa Whatley, Ruth Ann Biggs, Karen Taylor, Bonnie Griffin, Amy Hansen, Vanessa Wallace and
Bradley Little, as well as by 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. W.E. Little was a long time distributor for The Houston Chronicle, starting
with the newspaper as a paper boy in the 6th Ward and eventually becoming the distributor for the Spring Branch Memorial area. He gave hundreds of young men,
including his son, their first job. W.E. Little was a subdivision developer in Spring Branch, Cypress, the 1960 area and southern Montgomery County. While he
accomplished many things, the true stars in his crown were his devotion to our Mother, Helen Little, his devotion to his wife, Johnnie Richie Little and his
long time service as a Deacon at Westview Baptist Church in Houston, where he came to know Jesus. Funeral services are under the direction of Earthman Funeral
Home Located at 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston with visitation was held at 10:00 a.m. and servises at 11:00 a.m. on January 30 and interment at Woodlawn Cemetery
in Houston immediately following the services. A reception in celebration of his life will follow the interment at a location to be announced.
