William Fisher �Bill� Meyers Sr., was born June 15, 1942, in Austin, the son of Harry Cook and Frances Fisher Meyers.

Bill grew up and attended school in Austin. After graduating from Austin High School, he moved to Washington, DC, where he attended George Washington University and completed and graduated from Southwestern University in San Marcos. After college, Bill moved to New Braunfels.

Bill married Mable C de Baca in New Braunfels on Nov. 25, 1966. Bill and Mable made their home in New Braunfels, before his job as an oil and gas company personnel director transferred him to various other cities including Fort Worth, Burleson, San Antonio and Clear Lake.

He and Mable finally settled in Industry where they have been members of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the West End Lions Club. Bill enjoyed reading, cars, tractors, gardening and barbecuing.

He passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at his home in Industry, at the age of 70.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Mable Meyers of Industry; sons William Meyers, Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Houston and Timothy Meyers, also of Houston; grandchildren Madeline, William, III, Luke, Isabella and Mia Meyers, all of Houston; mother Frances Meyers of Dallas; sister Marilyn McElroy and her husband, Terry, also of Dallas; brother Harry Meyers and his wife, Diane, of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law Linda Meyers of Dallas; and numerous other relatives and dear friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Harry Meyers and brother, Terry Meyers.

Memorial service: 11 a.m, Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Industry.

Interment: Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Industry.

Honorary pallbearers: Members of the West End Lions Club.
