Emily S. Osanik, 90, of Bellville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 in Bellville.

She was born on May 16, 1922, in Shreveport, La. to Harry G. Shutt and Salie Rae (Rose) Shutt.

Originally she lived in Bellaire Texas, then in the Memorial area of Houston moving to Bellville in 1994. She was involved in the Fiber Artists of Houston, Bellville Hospital Auxiliary, and Bellville Historical Society.

She married Alex Osanik on Nov. 26, 1949 in Dallas.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harry G. Shutt, Jr., and husband of 60 years Alex Osanik.

Survived by daughter, Alexis L Osanik, of Bellville Texas, granddaughter Summer Brown and husband Devin Brown, of Aurora Colorado.

She was involved in the Fiber Artists of Houston, Bellville Hospital Auxiliary, and Bellville Historical Society.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at the Knesek Bros Funeral Chapel, 842 E. Main, Bellville.
