Bellville Times

Mary Ann (Smith) Pearce, 73, of Bellville died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 in Houston. Mary Ann was born to Henry Smith and Anna (Bartow) Smith in Houston on Feb. 17, 1939. She became the wife of Thomas Pearce on Sept. 2, 1961 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Houston.

Mary Ann was a true homemaker in every sense of the word. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member of St. Peter and Paul�s Catholic Church in Bellville where she was a member of the church choir.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 51 years Thomas Pearce of Bellville. Three daughters Elizabeth Pearce residing in Wales, Mary McMaster and her husband Neal of Austin and Susan Marek and her husband John of Bellville.

Six grandchildren Lauren, Stephanie, Mary and John Thomas Marek; Joe and Anna Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers Reggie, Joe, and Steve Smith.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at the Knesek Bros Funeral Chapel in Bellville with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Tim Bucek officiating.

Interment followed in the Oak Knoll Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Paul Marek, John Thomas Marek, Neal McMaster, Joe Robinson, Stephen Joseph Smith and Zach Ussery.

Memorial may be made in Mary Ann�s name to the Music Ministry at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 936 Front Street, Bellville, Texas 77418
