SYDNEY DUANE PEPPER

Bellville Times

Sydney Duane Pepper was born June 5, 1990, in Burnsville, Minn., the son of Patrick Duane and Patsy Arning Pepper.

He grew up in Rosemount, Minn., Sharpsburg, Ga. and Monroe, Mich. before graduating from Monroe High School in 2008.

Sydney was employed as a parts runner for NAPA Auto Parts in high school.

He then became a student at the Marine Mechanical Institute of Orlando, Fla.  After graduating from MMI, Sydney went on to pursue a career as a boat mechanic until the economy fell.  He was then employed as a lead engineer at the World Quest Resort, in Orlando, Fla., where he was named Employee of the Month.

A Catholic by faith, Sydney was full of life. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed snowboarding and water sports including scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, and cruising. He was very proud of his 2011 Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bob and his Sportster 883.  Sydney was very mechanically inclined and he enjoyed working on the dune buggy that he and his dad owned together.  He also worked on all sorts of jet skis.   He liked to fix them up, play on them, and sell them, just to do it all over again.  An especially kind young man, he would do anything for anyone.

Sydney passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Fla., at the age of 21.

He is survived by his loving parents Patrick Duane and Patsy Arning Pepper, of Warner Robins, Ga.; paternal grandfather Robert Duane Pepper of Ogden, Iowa; maternal grandparents Arthur and Loretta Arning of Bellville; loving girlfriend Breann Shearer of Orlando, Fla.; beloved pets Harley and Angel of Orlando, Fla.; aunts and uncles Peggy Arning Peschel of Industry, Wayne Arning of Dallas, Michael Pepper of Boone, Iowa, Carol Majors of Pensicola, Fla., Tim Pepper, also of Pensicola, Fla., and Jean Mallicoat of Augden, Iowa; and numerous other dear relatives and close friends.  Sydney was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Wanda Pepper, and uncle, Jay B.
