Cecil Clarence Peschel was born July 21, 1925, in Industry the son of George F. and Alma Peschel. He grew up
and attended school in the Austin County area, graduating from Bellville High School. After high school, Cecil was drafted and served his country in the
United States Army.
After his honorable discharge, he returned home and was united in marriage to Ruth Pfeffer on Feb. 26, 1947.
Cecil and Ruth made their home in Bellville, where they owned and operated a cleaning and laundry business.
In 1955, they moved to Rosenberg, where they established DeLuxe Cleaners and were in business for over 30
years.
Ruth passed away in 1982.
Cecil sold the business and moved to Bellville in1985 where he began cattle ranching in the New Bremen
Community. Soon after, he met Gloria Pfeffer and they made their home together in Bellville for over 20 years. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and
enjoying his lake home in Somerville. He also loved gardening, spending time with his family, working at his ranch and cherished his many dogs over the years.
Cecil passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Houston, at the age of 86. He is survived by his children Vickie
Lynn Ward and her husband, Ken, of LaGrange, and Cecil Wayne Peschel and his wife, Linda, of Rosenberg; grandchildren Cinnamon Fuentes and her husband,
Adrian, of Richmond, Barkley Peschel and his wife, Jill, of Sugar Land, Anson Ward and his wife, Becky, of Huntsville, Weston Ward of Kerrville, Misty Woolley
and her husband, Jeremy, of Missouri City, and Dustin Shelburne, of Dallas. Cecil is also survived by his great grandchildren Satine and Skylar Fuentes, Caden
and Gracie Peschel, A.J. Ward, Jackson and Parker Woolley; and special companion Gloria Pfeffer and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents,
George and Alma Peschel and wife, Ruth Peschel.
Visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2012, Schmidt Funeral Home, Bellville.

Interment, Davis Greenlawn Cemetery Rosenberg.
