Marvin F. Pless of Katy, passed away March 27, 2012 in Katy, Texas.
Marvin Fred Pless was born in Cat Spring, Texas on February 14, 1925 to Alfred and Elizabeth (Doernbrock)
Pless. Marvin was baptized in St. John Lutheran Church in Cat Spring. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy for three and half years in
the South Pacific. Upon being discharged, he married Mildred Lea Kaechele in Houston, Texas on January 7, 1946. They made their home in Sealy for
54 years.
Marvin worked at Cameron Iron Works for 33 years upon retiring he enjoyed fishing, baseball, dancing and water
skiing with children. Marvin leaves behind a wife of 66 years Mildred Pless, a daughter Glinda Renee Irving of San Antonio, a son Marvin Lee Pless
and wife Carol of Katy, sister-in-law Earline Davis of Bellville, grandchildren David Pless and wife Misty and Elizabeth Irving, and great-grandchildren
Faith, Sidney and Isabell Pless.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Elizabeth Pless and brother Harry Pless.
Funeral Services for Marvin will be Friday, March 30, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 402
Atchison, Sealy, Texas and family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel � Hwy 36, 1140
Meyer Street, Sealy. Interment will be in the Sealy Cemetery. Pall bearers are Gary Pless, Ray Schubert, David Hauschild, Michael Ashorn, Boby Burger
and Vernon Ekarius.
