Bellville Times Funeral Services for Rosalie Steck, 89, of Sealy, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Sealy with Rev. Lani Rousseau officiating. Interment was in the Sealy Cemetery . Serving as Pallbearers were: Tony Kocurek, James Kocurek, Larry Stolarske, Harold Lyons, Jr., Billy Schavrda and Bobby Hagen. Rosalie Steck was born on March 24, 1923 in Sealy to parents, Frank John Foytik and Julia Kalus Foytik She died at home in Sealy on May 29 following a brief illness. Rosalie was raised in Sealy and graduated from Sealy High School. On Aug. 27, 1952, Rosalie married Oliver Steck in Sealy . She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Sealy, where she served for many years as the Sunday School Superintendent. She served as secretary for the local Woodmen of the World Lodge until her death. Rosalie was known by children from across the Sealy area as the secretary to the principal at Selman Elementary and she retired as the administrative assistant to the Assistant Superintendent of Sealy ISD. Survivors include her niece, Julia Broughton and husband Curtis of Georgetown and niece, Susie Smith of Gallup, New Mexico, nephews, Larry Stolarske of Sealy and Harold Lyons, Jr. of Bellville, sisters, Mary Frances Saxton of Sealy and Gloria Lyons of Gallop, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Julia Foytik, husband, Oliver Steck, sisters, Edith Fisher, Mildred Surovek, Lillian Bear, Julia Ann Rainey and brothers, Johnnie Foytik and Frank Foytik, Jr. Posted by Joy Neely
