Funeral services for Ila Mae Tomlinson, 84, of Cat Spring are Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from St. John Lutheran Church in Cat spring, 480 Ross Street, (979) 865-5444. Rev. Kevin Haug officiating.

Visitation is Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 from 6-8 p.m.pm at the Church. Interment in the Cat Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers: Scott and Lisa Einkauf, Dawn and Alan Prihoda, Alan Jr. and Brittnie Tomlinson, Molly and Sean Timmis, Aaron and Sabrina Brandt, Colby Brandt, Sage Brandt, Shannon Einkauf and Sydney Rae Tomlinson.

Ila Mae was born Aug. 18, 1928 to Alvin and Goldie (Garling) Dittert in Cat Spring. She attended grade school in Cat Spring and graduated from Sealy High School in 1947.

On Aug. 17, 1947, she was married to Alvin Everett Tomlinson of Wallis. Together they raised four children; Rose Marie of Cat Spring married to Clarence Einkauf, Alan Everett of Katy married to Kay Taylor Tomlinson, Donna Mae of Sealy married to Joe Brandt, and Clinton Ray of Austin, married to Jeanne Joseph Tomlinson.

Grandchildren include Scott Einkauf and wife Lisa, Dawn Prihoda and husband Alan, Shannon Einkauf, Alan Tomlinson, Jr. and wife Brittnie, Molly Timmis and husband Sean, Aaron Brandt and wife Sabrina, Colby Brandt, Sage Brandt and Sydney Rae Tomlinson. Her great grandchildren are Corey, Collin and Holten Einkauf, Dalton and Cade Prihoda, Blair, Trey and Brooke Tomlinson, Brandon Novicke, Will and Cayden Timmis, Shelbi Moss and Chloe Jo Brandt.

Ila Mae grew up in Cat Spring, and loved being with family and friends. She was always organizing civic, community or social events, and enjoyed entertaining guests. Ila Mae worked for a number of local companies including Sealy Decorating Center, Tom�s Dairy Bar, and Levine Brothers.

She also enjoyed helping friends and family as an Avon representative. Her roles in the community included American Legion Auxiliary, Son of Herman, Cat Spring Agriculture Society, and many more.

Wherever you saw her, Dad was close at hand, they truly enjoyed each other�s company and worked together to help others. Together they were a shining example for marriage, love and family. Ila Mae was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her great sense of humor and beautiful smile will be missed.

Ila Mae suffered a stroke on Sunday, Aug. 12. She passed away on Aug. 20, 2012 with her family surrounding her with love and prayers.

She is also survived by her brother, Clarence and Delores Dittert of Cat Spring, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Everett Tomlinson, parents Granny and Papa Dittert, and in-laws Charles and Susan Tomlinson.

In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that you make donations to St. John�s Lutheran Church of Cat Spring, American Legion Auxiliary, Cat Spring Agricultural Society, Brazos Valley Hospice Care, or the charity of your choice.
