Bellville Times Service for Mr. Melvin Watts was Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Historic Allen AME Church, Bellville. A baby boy was born Sept. 6, 1952 in Brenham to the late Clarence W. Watts, Sr., and Ruby Randle Watts. Melvin grew up in Brenham and graduated from Brenham High School. Melvin played for the Brenham Cubs while he was in high school. He went to a tech school to become a telephone road tech. Later he became a supervisor at Wal-Mart. Before Melvin health began to fail he worked as a bus driver for the Bellville Ind. School District. Melvin loves to listen to music, up on current events and watching the NFL Sunday ticket. All the kids call Melvin �PaPa� and he loved taking care of Keith Legan (KJ). He accepted Christ a young age. Melvin joined Isaiah Community AME Church in Bellville under the leadership of Pastor Ida Baker. Melvin was married to Laura A. Lipscomb and to this union two children was born, one daughter, Rothiett V. Watts and one son, Melvin T. Watts. Later Melvin married Sherron A. Miller and to this union two children were born, one daughter, LaShaunda T. Watts and one son, Joseph D. Watts. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, the later Clarence W. Watts., Sr. and Ruby Randle Watts. He leaves to cherish his loving memories of life, his loving wife of 29 years, Sherron Watts, two daughters, Rothiett V. Watts, Brenham, LaShaunda T. Watts, Houston, two sons, Melvin T. Watts, Brenham, Joseph D. Watts, (Melissa) Laredo, two step-children, Micheal L. Freeman, (Jessica), Victoria, Stephanie Freeman, (Tracy), Kansas City, Kan., one sister, Doris J. Rogers (James) of Brenham, three brothers, Clarence W. Watts, Jr., Christopher and Wilbert Brisco all of Brenham, his first wife, Laura Ann Watts, Brenham, one adopted daughter, Rhoda Miller, four grandchildren, Fred D. and Deonte M.
