John Lewis Cochran
was the 1st
son of Joseph Sidney
Cochran and Elizabeth
“Lewis” Cochran
(certified by TSGS and
SRT)
He copied the
information from the
Cochran Family Bible in
July 1862. The
family lived in Jasper &
Newton Cty
Texas.
I recently received the
Cochran Bible copy and
Cochran Family 1862
Records from the Newton
Cty Historical
Commission ,
as they compiled and
copied all their Cochran
family files for me. A
special thanks to our
cousin Bonnie Smith for
getting
most of the information
they sent to me from her
Cochran file; when she
was the Director/Chair
of the Historical
Commission.
