John Edward Reese
 

John Edward Reese, 71, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010. He was born to Annie Mangham and Jefferson DeWitt Reese on September 17, 1938 in Monroe, LA and grew up in Oak Ridge, LA. He received an AS degree in air conditioning from the University of Houston. John served in the U.S. Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother DeWitt Augustus Reese. He married Suzanne Self on May 28, 1960 in Houston, TX. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Conroe, TX, daughters, Beth Sizemore of Katy, TX and Katherine Douglass and son-in-law Rob Douglass, of Richmond; grandchildren, Ashley Sizemore of Houston, TX, Kelsey Sizemore of Katy, TX, Andrew Douglass and Abby Douglass of Richmond, TX, sister-in-law, Shirley Duncan and niece Deborah Duncan and family of San Antonio, TX, nephew, Stephen Duncan and family of Corona, CA.

John was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Conroe, TX, Freedom Chapter of the Sons of American Revolution and Jamestown Society.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April, 25, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home, Conroe, TX. Interment will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 26, 2010 at Resthaven Cemetery, Houston, TX with a memorial service at 2 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, Conroe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church children's programs.
